THE PROCESSION PASSED THROUGH THE WALL captures the feeling of collective movement without ever showing the procession itself. Across a weathered wall layered with cracked plaster, smoke, torn paper, faded paint, handprints, ribbons, beads, flowers, footprints, and fragments of patterned fabric, the presence of a ceremonial gathering is suggested through traces rather than figures.

The composition flows diagonally through the surface like a river or migration path, built from overlapping shadows, scattered color, and worn physical evidence. At a distance, the movement feels unified and rhythmic. Up close, it breaks apart into individual marks, textures, and remnants embedded in the wall.

Distressed halftones, misregistered color, weather staining, metallic accents, and analog print wear give the piece the character of an aged document or recovered mural. Quiet, dignified, and unresolved, the artwork centers on memory, community, and the marks left behind when people move together through a place.
